Eligible clients are bulk billed with no out-of-pocket costs. You can access Medicare rebates for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year through the Better Access initiative. To be eligible, you must consult your General Practitioner (GP) to obtain both a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) and a referral letter.
Medicare rebates apply only to individual therapy sessions. Couples and family therapy sessions are not eligible for rebates under this scheme.
The initial referral provides access to up to 6 sessions. After completing these, you will need to return to your GP for a review in order to access up to 4 additional sessions, for a total of 10 sessions per calendar year.
To avoid delays in processing your Medicare rebate, please ensure your referral documents are sent to us before your first session. These can be emailed directly to our admin team by you or your referring practitioner.
If you are plan-managed under the NDIS, you may be eligible to claim psychological services through your plan if approved. Please note, we do not currently accept NDIA-managed (agency-managed) plans.
If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim for psychological services. The amount you can claim will vary based on your level of cover. For more information, please contact your health fund.
Please reach out to the admin@taypsychology.com.au for the latest updated private fee for psychology sessions.
If you are funded by a third party, charges will be in accordance with the current fee schedule or pricing guide set by the relevant funding body.
We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice may incur a fee equivalent to the full session cost. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please contact us by email.
