We are an online psychology clinic. All assessments are conducted via telehealth. In-person (face-to-face) appointments are not currently offered.

Psychologists do not prescribe medication in Australia. A referral to a psychiatrist can be arranged, who can assess suitability for medication, along with copies of your ADHD and Autism assessment reports to assist with your appointment.

Medicare rebates do not apply to assessments at Tay Psychology.

If you are seeking NDIS access, the comprehensive report and add-on support letter can form part of the supporting evidence for an NDIS application. For general psychologists, the NDIS requires a multidisciplinary approach, whereby input from another health professional (e.g., occupational therapist, general practitioner, psychiatrist) is also required. Eligibility is determined by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).

Deciding whether to pursue a formal ADHD and/or Autism assessment is often a significant decision, especially given the time, energy, and finances involved. If you’ve been considering an assessment, there is usually a good reason to do so. Some people strongly identify with ADHD and/or Autistic traits and may feel comfortable self-identifying. This is a personal choice, and you do not need a formal assessment with a psychologist to say you are ADHD and/or autistic. If you decide to proceed with an assessment, we're here to support you. Our assessments are thorough and we consider differential diagnoses and explore other co-occurring conditions (where relevant), alternative explanations, or whether the experiences you are having may be consistent with life stressors. We also use tools that assess masking or camouflaging behaviours, which can provide additional insight. If you do not meet criteria for Autism and/or ADHD, you will still receive feedback, a comprehensive report, and recommendations.

Refunds are not available for assessment services. Please ensure this is a suitable service for you before proceeding with a booking. Appointments can be rescheduled up to 48 hours before the scheduled session. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the appointment are non-refundable but can be credited toward a future appointment. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 48 hours before the session are not permitted, and payment will not be refunded or credited.
